In a bid to help the daily commuters belonging to the poor and lower middle class whose motorcycles were burned or damaged by protestors amid the 9 May riots in Karachi, Sindh government came forward with a helping hand.
In a press conference, Information and Transportation Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon deplored the incidents saying that the provincial government is working to support the families of the affectees whose bikes were robbed or burned by the protestors. He further informed that the Sindh government is compensating the victims of riots that erupted on 9 May. Mr. Memon made this announcement on Thursday.
He stated that those who caused the damage to the public property would be held accountable and punished. Police had registered an FIR against the rioters who damaged the Peoples Bus Service (PBS), he added.
