23,000 Traffic Challans Issued In One Week

City Traffic Police Lahore is cracking down on drivers driving vehicles without licenses. In a campaign against unlawful driving of drivers without a license, the City Traffic Police reportedly issued traffic challans to 23,000 drivers.

City Traffic Police Lahore has been actively educating the citizens on the importance of having a driving license. Their extensive campaign has the slogan, “Driving license is not necessary; it is mandatory!” Their objective is to ensure that every driver on the roads of Lahore must have their driving license on them while driving. It not only shows that you are a responsible citizen but also safeguards you in case of any accident or mishap.

Around 23,000 drivers were issued traffic challans for not having their driving licenses with them while driving, and every driver has been fined Rs. 2,000 for this violation. All of this happened in one week! And this is only the second week of the City Traffic Police campaign.

Apart from issuing traffic challans to people without driving licenses, the City Traffic Police Lahore is also educating drivers who have an expired license or a learner’s permit. More than 15,000 drivers who were found driving with an expired driving license were educated on how to renew their licenses.

On top of that, drivers with a learner’s permit were also warned to get their proper driving licenses. Drivers with a learner’s permit can apply for a driving test after 42 days of getting their learner’s permit. After passing the driving test, you can get your driving license. A learner’s permit usually expires after 6 months. It is necessary for drivers with a learner’s permit to apply for their driving license before their learner’s permit expires.

City Traffic Police Lahore educated 63,000 drivers with learner’s permits on getting their driving licenses. These drivers were also issued warnings to get their licenses before their permits expired.

Do you have a driving license? If not, you can simply go to the nearest khidmat markaz with just your original CNIC and get your learner’s permit or driving license in no time! Drive safe and be a responsible driver!
